Variables

  • Final DPS (F): The final DPS after all growth periods.
  • Base DPS (P): Your character’s initial DPS.
  • DPS Growth Rate (V): The periodic rate of DPS increase (as a decimal).
  • Stat Increments (Q): The number of periods or increments of growth (e.g., stats maxed, items equipped).

What is this ROTMG DPS Model?

This calculator provides a conceptual model for projecting Damage Per Second (DPS) growth in games like Realm of the Mad God (ROTMG). It is not a literal in-game damage calculator, which would require complex inputs like Attack, Dexterity, weapon choice, and enemy defense.

Instead, this tool uses the standard financial formula for compound growth to help you understand how your DPS can scale. You can model your character’s progression by setting a Base DPS, a periodic Growth Rate (from maxing a stat or getting an item), and the number of growth periods to find your Final DPS. You can also solve for any of the other variables.

How to Calculate DPS Growth (Example)

Let’s find the Final DPS (F) for a character.

  1. Base DPS (P): 1,500
  2. DPS Growth Rate (V): 0.08 (representing an 8% DPS increase per major stat maxed)
  3. Stat Increments (Q): 8 (for 8 maxed stats)
  4. Formula: F = P * (1 + V)^Q
  5. Calculation: F = 1500 * (1 + 0.08)^8
  6. F = 1500 * (1.08)^8
  7. F = 1500 * 1.85093
  8. Final DPS (F) = 2,776.40

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this an official ROTMG calculator?
No. This is a general-purpose 4-variable calculator themed around the *concept* of DPS growth. For exact in-game DPS numbers, you should use a dedicated ROTMG damage simulator.

How do I enter the DPS Growth Rate (V)?
You must enter the rate as a decimal. For example, for a 5% DPS increase per increment, you would enter 0.05 in the (V) field.

Can I solve for the Growth Rate (V)?
Yes. If you know your Base DPS (P), your Final DPS (F), and the number of increments (Q) it took, this calculator can solve for the average periodic growth rate (V).

What happens if I enter four values?
If you enter all four values, the calculator will check if they are mathematically consistent. It is designed to solve for one missing value, so you must leave exactly one field blank.
